About Ron Sanders

Ron Sanders is an ACTAR accredited collision reconstructionist with 23+ years of law enforcement experience, all with the Seattle Police Department.  Ron has been assigned as a Detective in the department’s Traffic Collision Investigation Squad since 1997.  He has been involved in Crash Data Retrieval technology since 2002.

In addition to his law enforcement duties, Ron opened Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Services, LLC in 2003.  In addition to providing collision reconstruction consultation and expert analysis, CARS, LLC also provides forensic mapping and Crash Data Retrieval services as well as training on various collision reconstruction-related topics to both public and private sector entities.

Ron has been teaching various facets of accident investigation/reconstruction since 2003.  He has been a certified trainer of the CDR Technician Courses since early 2006.

In addition to being a CDR Technician, Analyst, and Certified Technician Trainer, Ron has also attended the CDR Advanced Technician course; specialized training to trouble-shoot communication problems and obtain CDR data in situations where other technicians might not be able to.
